New Beginnings....

Happy New Year everyone! We thank God for His mercies towards us, it is only By His Grace that we have made it to 2020. It is not just a new year but the beginning of a new decade! I believe that in this new decade, the Lord has so much in store for His Children.

I don't intend for this post to be long, just something

to encourage you as we push through the first month of the new year. I am sure by now, we have all sat down to lay out the goals and strategies for the year. Sometimes it is not always easy to stick to them and ensure they are achieved. Along the way we get distracted by a host of things that hold us from experiencing the plans that God has for us. Even for me, I find myself faced with this challenge and it is not always easy to find your feet.

Coming into this year, do not throw away the lessons that 2019 and the previous years have taught you. As you are led by the Spirit of God, apply these lessons where necessary in your life and rely fully on Him for everything. I don't know where I would be without the encouragement and guidance of the Holy Spirit. The world is inundated with many distractions of different kinds that it is so easy to miss His voice. His voice is not so loud and thunderous as we imagine it to be, it is soft and only amplified to those who make time to listen to Him.I have personally decided to be more in tune with Him, to make decisions with His leading because truthfully He is my only assurance in this crazy world. Always make time to fellowship with God and study His Word, this world is dying away gradually and only His Word keeps us alive and shinning!

Make God first in everything, and you will see His hand in all things. Don't just be focused on the new year, think about the next 10 years of your life. How would you want things to be? How are you pushing forward with your dreams? For those of us who are 90's babies, the next 10 years mean a lot and can only be progressive when you put in the work.

2019 taught me that in order to move forward in life successfully you need to surround yourself with the right people who share similar visions with you. Sometimes we take this area of our lives for granted, we think we can move with anyone at anytime. Most of the time, we do this because we have not received the revelation of who we are and where God is taking us. This year, make it a point to understand who you are, what God has called you to be and who He wants you to move with. Having the right kind of friends around me over the years, has really pushed me towards a more positive direction. This year, take time to pray into the kind of people who surround with you, are their visions in line with yours? Will they lift you up when life takes a toll? Consider all these things as you allow people into your life and build relationships.

Do everything with God this year and the years ahead, I cannot emphasize this enough! My blog will be going through changes, so expect new kinds of content. I do hope that it leaves you encouraged and inspired as you soldier through the year! Like i said in the beginning, this post would not be long, just something to kick start your year!
