We are Saints lying in wait!

Hello my darling readers, I hope that you are all doing well by the grace and mercy of God. I have been rather quiet these last two months for which I do apologize, its been a rather tough time which I would share with you in time. I thank God for His strength through it all and for inspiring me with something new to share with you in the month of March. I pray that this piece blesses you immensely!

We are Saints lying in wait!

The eyes through which I see things have changed

My perspectives on life have been transformed

It is not because I read Marx’s Communist Manifesto or delightful poetry by Keats!

You see as I gaze upon my surroundings everyday....

The Lord has made me see that His Second coming draws nigh

The world has become more temporal to me

These physical things are of lesser interest to me

The worldly success that it dangles before my eyes are not my focal point anymore!

These materials and accolades that we accumulate on earth

Are they ever a guarantee of the heavenly glory that awaits ???

Heaven’s gates does not open to those who carry the weight of the world

It only welcomes those who carried the cross of Christ diligently

Demonstrated His love consistently,

Never allowing themselves to be tools in the hands of the enemy

It only attracts heavenly felonies!

The path that we tread on in life is a lonely one

It is wide for those who expand in earthly riches, never willing to shed them off and seek more of His Spirit

Seeking hungrily after only spiritual food

As the world grows darker and darker

Demons come out fearlessly, dancing around us in mockery

Each with a name and an assignment to accomplish

Violence boldly walks our street killing the innocent

Seduction coils the lustful around her fingers

Immorality parades the streets loudly like a marching band

No fear of what is coming!

The days of Lot are upon us again!

So in these times, we work out our salvation with fear and trembling !

For no ones the hour for which He will arrive yet within our spirits in prayer…

Our heartfelt cry is: “Maranatha, even so Lord Jesus come now!”

The world has nothing to offer…I desire to rest in eternity with you

I put myself together in readiness!

Making sure every day I empty myself out to the perishing souls

The words that they need to hear, not those they want to hear.

Jesus, you are the standard that every day we seek to master.

We desire to sit by you on the glorious throne

Basking with you in glory, as you honour us with magnificent crowns

For this is our sure reward for labouring tirelessly in your vineyard

I know you are nearer to us than before

My spirit is alert and very much aware!

I pray to thee Oh Lord, that my heart be set on you daily

That I live a Christ impacted life!

In that day, after my works have passed through the burning furnace without burning

I long to hear you say onto me “Well done, my good and humble servant!”

My eyes are set on you daily, help me to tread carefully and lovingly every day!

For no one knows the hour of your return…so then until, Oh Lord, we are simply saints labouring and lying in wait!
